BedrijfsomschrijvingTHE COMPANY: We are a highly specialist, niche manufacturer of sustainable & recyclable packaging consumables which are predominantly aimed at the FMCG Food & Drinks Service market sector.* The xxxxxx products are currently receiving high level expressions of interest from the packaging supply chain and they are being viewed by the media as a company which is bringing about a sea change in the way the retailers and the consumer think about their everyday purchases and disposable drinks packaging.* This key position will be the main point of contact for customers many of whom will be outside the UK and will appeal to someone who wants to truly flex their entrepreneurial capabilities in an open, honest, dynamic and driven organisation.* The first xxxxxx product is a take-away coffee cup and is being launched imminently and there are a further three products, fully developed using the same innovative technology, that will be launched within the next nine months.

Global Business Development Director - C£85k
We have an outstanding opportunity for an entrepreneurial, dynamic and strategic Business Development Director to drive sales for xxxxxx , a highly innovative, ethical and sustainable packaging solution specifically targeting exciting NPD initiatives within the FMCG Food and Beverage markets sectors.
Working closely with the CEO the successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing sales to major FMCG Own Brand labels and retailers across the UK, Europe and further afield.Please note that Packaging experience is not a pre-requisite.
SALARY: C£85,000 + significant bonus package including share incentives& further benefits commensurate with role.
HEAD OFFICE: Ipswich
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Ipswich, Colchester, London, Cambridge, Harlow, Chelmsford
HE ROLE WILL APPEAL TO CANDIDATES WHO CAN:
Develop and execute new business development strategies, tactics and action plans to achieve agreed financial targets within the FMCG Own Brand market sectors* Research and analyse new markets and global territories for the product range* Work closely with the Marketing Director to create business development collateral and campaigns to gain a pipeline of opportunities within the identified strategic, tactical and entrepreneurial target accounts* Convert expressions of interest into contracts* Build an active network of senior executive contacts within Own Brand FMCG Food & Beverage brand owners* Manage tenders and supporting documents and work with the Operations & Marketing teams to pull together compelling offers* Influence decision making at a senior level in a business development capacity with clients* Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets.* Ensure consistent and professional responses to RFIs & RFPs and apply rigorous qualification to ensure that the bids are giving weight to the offering* Demonstrate a passion for protecting the environmentFunctie-eisen
