Fully original hollowbody with bigsby, Serial number: CS9835. The ES-446s ( the "s" is for slim body and every 446 was an "s") is a true hollowbody guitar that was constructed in the Gibson Custom Shop in 1999. During the four year period when these guitars were being made they were advertised as a cross between a Les Paul and a 335.

The 446 may share some of the tonality of those guitars but the 446 is constructed like a hollow arch top guitar but smaller and slimmer. Notably, the arched spruce top has the braces carved right into it as opposed to glued. Also, the one piece mahogany back has a very comfortable belly contour carved into it that no one ever seems to mention. These Guitars are a very unique Guitar for Gibson, Only produced for a few years. Prediction they will become more valuable in time.

Body: Spruce top and mahogany back, Neck: Mahogany neck with 1 3/4" wide nut and rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot inlays, Pickups/Hardware: Two Gibson 57 Classic's humbuckers, three-way pickup selector switch, independent tone and volume controls and Grover tuners. Playability: The strings are at a medium-low height, play very well, and fret clearly across the board.
