The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance. The role is"hands on" and you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the financial function of the business

Responsibilities:

Handle daily accounting functions including manage AR, invoicing, collection, AP management, general ledger update and cash management;
Improve and strengthen the accounting processes to ensure effective financial and accounting control;
Co-responsibility for month end closing and preparing management reports;
To assist the month end financial process, providing insightful commentary on key monthly variances for the results and presentations to the business where appropriate;
Liaise with external parties and tax consultants for statutory audit and tax filing for the Group;
Responsible for VAT compliance issues;
To assist in the monthly forecasting process and the annual business planning process;
To develop, implement, review, monitor and analyse initiatives for the business to meet its continuous improvement targets;
Create ad hoc management reports.

Job requirements:

Master / Bachelor degree in Economics / Business administration /Accounting;
Being able to set priorities and work under pressure;
Preferably 3 to max 4 years of experience in an accounting/controlling/analyst role;
Independent, initiative, innovative;
Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and multi-tasking skills;
Strong Excel skills and financial systems
Proficient in both written and spoken Dutch and English;
