Asus Extreme EAX1300 Pro is samen met de XT versie het beste wat de Radeon X1300 series te bieden heeft en is dan ook de laatste uitgebrachte uitvoering met speciale Asus eigenschappen.De kaart is speciaal ontwikkeld tijdens de Windows Vista periode en dus ontworpen voor een omvangrijk en grafisch sterk besturingsysteem als het gaat om de grafische functies en mogelijkheden van de Windows GUI Graphic User Interface. Deze interface omvat onder andere Aero; een stijvol, elegant voorkomen, met tranparante menus, animations, icons. Deze grafische toevoegingen vinden we verder doorontwikkeld terug in Windows 7, Windows 8.1 en Windows 10. De X1300 is van de entry level X-series de meest krachtige uitvoering, met de hoogste prestaties en mogelijkheden.

Uitgevoerd met een degelijke GPU kloksnelheid van 600MHz heeft deze EAX1300 een forse voorsprong op andere X1300 series en entry level Geforce 6 / 7/ 8. Daarnaast kan men deze GPU snelheid met software gecontroleerd aanpassen (Catalyst overdrive) echter voor de HTPC en multimedia taken is de standaard GPU snelheid al meer dan voldoende. Ook beschikt de Asus EAX1300 Xtreme 256MB waarbij er gebruik wordt gemaakt van sneller DDR2 geheugen zodoende is de geheugen snelheid effectief boven de 800 MHz DDR

Deze kloksnelheden met de hoeveelheid geheugen is meer dan voldoende voor online en offline media weergave in welke vorm dan ook. Echter het onderscheidend vermogen zit hem memory interface van 128-bit voor het geheugen, dit maakt de kaart in zijn klasse veel sneller en dit vertaalt zich dan ook in een verdubbeling van de bandwijdte van het geheugen t.o.v. de standaard X1300 series. Ook kunt U deze uitvoering gebruiken als alternatief voor 64-bit grafische kaarten zoals; Geforce 8400GS, Geforce 7300GT/GS, Geforce 205 / 210 en HD3450 HD4350 en elke onboard VGA adapter van een moederbord.

De X1300 bevat een Shader georienteerde grafische architectuur en ondersteund Shader Model 3.0 voor weergave van complexe 3D beelden Games in de DirectX 9.0c klasse. Daarnaast ondersteund de X1300 ook Hybride CrossFire met bepaalde Chipsets waarbij de onboard grafische adapter samen werkt met de X1300 om zo nog betere prestaties in 2D en 3D mogelijk te maken.

Koeling 0dB Stille Reverse Cooling Solution !!

Bij deze editie heeft Asus een 100% geluidstille ontworpen en toegepast op deze uitvoering. De GPU bevind zicht aan de achterzijde van de kaart, niet aan de voorzijde ! De passieve heatsink aan de voorzijde koelt onderdelen op het PCB in relatie tot de GPU.
Op de achterzijde vind men een heatsink met een een groot oppervlak die de grafische processor, geheugen chips en het printcircuit board volledig koelt. Het hoofddeel bestaat uit een grote aluminium heatsink met een koperen koelvlak voor de GPU voor warmte afgifte waarbij het hoofdeel is uitgerust met een heatpipe met vloeistof. Deze heatpipe is gekoppeld aan de een tweede heatsink die als een schelp / flip open in diverse standen kan worden gezet (afhankelijk van de ruimte bij de insteek sloten) voor extra warmtafgifte en andere Airflow via dit component. De kaart en de koeling in zijn geheel relatief smal en compact, ook als men wel gebruik maakt van de extended heatsink.
